Doberman Pinscher

Dyani, our Doberman, loves to make us laugh. I don't think she intentionally does it, it just happens that way. I've read Doberman stories and I guess the breed has a knack for being 'goofy' which is one of the reasons we chose to make one our family pet. Our family is lively and fun loving and we wanted a dog with characteristics that would complement 'our pack'.

We've enjoyed Dyani for five years now and our kids think the world of her. They can't even think of going away without begging to take Dyani with us. It shows how attached children can become to a beloved pet, I guess. After five years you would think they would become tired of her, but not so; in fact, over the years , they have even become closer.

Dyani's favorite game with the kids is tug-o-war and tag. It's pretty challenging to tag Dyani because she's so quick. Another bonding activity has been regular trips to our neighborhood park where everyone gets to romp and play. Dyani loves catching Frisbees there, and we're thinking of entering her in competition - she's great at it! While she's no longer a pup, Dyani remains energetic and lively. Her response to our commands is impressive, which is why we agree with the studies that rank the Doberman Pinscher as the fifth-most intelligent dog in the category of obedience command training. Our family definitely gives the Doberman Pinscher a resounding thumbs up -- do think about a Doberman as your next family dog. You'll be glad you did!.
