Rascal loves to be photographed. In fact, you'll laugh when you see how he reacts when someone pulls their camera out. No matter what he's doing or who he's playing with, he'll stop and run over to the camera and pose for his picture. If a shot isn't taken pretty quickly, he'll either start hopping up and down or pushing himself against the photographer. I don't know why a camera is such a trigger for him. It could be that he likes his reflection in the lens, or the sound of the shutter, or just likes the attention that's being 'focused' on him (couldn't resist the pun, sorry!) but I just know that nothing else matters when a camera is pointed in his direction.
When he's not involved in a photoshoot, he's a relatively quiet dog. In fact, you really wouldn't know he was a terrier since he doesn't yap and bark at every stranger's feet or door knock. Rascal is what you might consider laid back. He'll often just lie on the porch and watch people go by, a content little people-watcher. He does like to play ball , but generally he has to be invited to do so - he doesn't initiate a game of fetch on his own. He's not one of those little characters that will interfere with your game and run off with your ball to start a rousing chase. He enjoys a good game of fetch and has the energy to play for some time before he loses interest.
Rascal does possess one unique terrier trait: that special attitude that the world centers around him, kind of like a teenager. So when kids play in the yard, it's for his enjoyment, and people were all created to cater to him. He can often show a moody and independent side too. But my little Rascal will entertain you more than irritate you.
