Scottish Terrier

Whenever I see this terrier I think of a sort of cartoon college professor. With a monocle in one eye, standing in front of a blackboard, addressing a class full of students. He'd say something like, "...and so, having a sum of products or an integral that is zero or sometimes one under specified conditions while each pair of functions over a specific interval equal to zero, orthogonally speaking..."

Naturally, he would look for Stella in the third row (who would be filing her nails) and say, "Stella, can you give us an example of that? And please try to express it in a language that the whole class can understand."

That's the Scottish Terrier to me; educated and brilliant looking. He's got that face that tells me his head is full of knowledge and interesting tidbits and if he could only speak the human language he would sit down with you and exchange ideas and insights. And it's for that reason I decided to acquire one of these intelligent dogs. I even named him 'Professor'.

Well, he's a great dog. But since he can't speak the our language, all he can really do to express himself is tilt his head and give me a quizzical look. And since I can't speak his language, I pretty much do the same. So there we are, each of us is wondering which one looks more dumbfounded, him or me?
